Position Summary

In the role of Clinical Supervisor, you will be at the forefront of our Substance Abuse Treatment Program, responsible for overseeing the provision of high-quality, evidence-based clinical services within a two-week residential treatment setting. Your duties will encompass supervising clinical operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines, and cultivating a cooperative and supportive team culture.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all clinical functions to guarantee the delivery of quality, evidence-based care.
  • Maintain professional and open communication with clients, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and enforce departmental policies and procedures to ensure quality care and compliance with regulations.
  • Provide supervision to clinical and educational personnel, conducting timely performance evaluations.
  • Plan, design, and execute staff training and development initiatives.
  • Ensure appropriate clinical staffing levels and assist in recruitment efforts.
  • Support grant writing and fundraising initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison with courts, agencies, and the program regarding clinical matters.
  • Prepare reports, lead administrative meetings, conduct case conferences, and participate in other designated meetings.
  • Deliver direct client care as necessary and oversee client medication protocols.
  • Coordinate and engage in client disciplinary actions.
  • Perform on-call responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director.
  • Ensure consistent application of best practices and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to all MHSA policies, maintaining confidentiality and ethical integrity.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in counseling, mental health, social work, or a related discipline.
  • Eligibility for independent licensure (LADC I, LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, etc.); full licensure preferred.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a licensed clinical supervisory role.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in substance abuse counseling.
  • Solid understanding of substance abuse issues and treatment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with MA DPH/BSAS regulations.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a diverse population.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification (training provided by MHSA if needed).
  • Routine travel required; valid driver's license and reliable transportation necessary.
  • Bilingual skills, particularly in English and Spanish, are preferred.
