Position Overview:
As a vital member of the Economic Mobility Division (EMD), the Economic Mobility Project and Change Coordinator is responsible for the development, oversight, and facilitation of project planning and execution activities. This role encompasses the overall coordination, scheduling, planning, monitoring, and reporting of all phases of assigned projects, including informal and formal project teams from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
The Project and Change Coordinator will:

  • Lead communication initiatives within the EMD and coordinate information sharing across various divisions.
  • Maintain and update workflow and Standard Operating Procedure manuals.
  • Ensure projects are justified, executed, managed, and reported effectively by applying project management, change management, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Collaborate closely with division managers, administrators, key team members, and community partners throughout the project lifecycle.

Change Management Focus:
The ideal candidate will emphasize organizational change management, addressing changes to business processes, systems, technologies, and organizational structures. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading structured change management work streams.
  • Developing comprehensive change management plans for projects and initiatives.
  • Facilitating communication plans and change management meetings.
  • Identifying and managing resistance to change, acting as a coach for managers and supervisors.

Work Environment:
This position operates in a hybrid model, with responsibilities at various locations and remote work.

Project Management Duties:
The Coordinator will:

  • Develop and oversee project strategies and plans, including readiness assessments and stakeholder identification.
  • Engage with stakeholders to determine implementation plans for division projects and initiatives.
  • Create and recommend innovative business processes and methodologies.
  • Provide project management direction to ensure successful project implementation.

Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed about project management and change management trends, proactively managing changes in project scope, identifying potential risks, and devising contingency plans to enhance project performance.

Success Measurement:
Define and measure success for change initiatives, monitor progress, and assess the effectiveness and return on investment (ROI).

Collaboration:
Work alongside EMD and Human Services leadership teams to strategize approaches for managing changes, including training, coaching, and communication.

Additional Responsibilities:
Regularly review and update SOPs, workflow documents, and external/internal facing materials to ensure they reflect current program information and inclusive language.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Knowledge of human services programs and services available to families.
- Effective facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Innovative mindset with strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Proficient in project management and planning.
- Understanding of change management principles and analytical thinking.

Experience:
- Minimum of one year in the human services field or a related area.
- Two years in a professional project management role, managing multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral or social science, Business Administration, or Organizational Development. Additional experience may substitute for the degree, but not for required project management experience.
