Job Summary

The Project Developer will support the development team in managing and driving development activities of utility-scale solar, wind, and storage projects from feasibility to the start of construction. This role will also involve managing all aspects of environmental site assessment, permitting, transmission/interconnection, land acquisition, and design activities in close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and drive development activities of utility-scale solar, wind, and storage projects from feasibility to the start of construction
  • Manage all aspects of environmental site assessment, permitting, transmission/interconnection, land acquisition, and design activities in close collaboration with SMEs
  • Engage consultants, review their findings, and ensure implementation
  • Research new industry developments, tax incentives, and technologies
  • Manage permit application preparation and attend public permitting hearings
  • Develop project model underwriting assumptions in alignment with investment criteria and off-take origination efforts
  • Engage with landowners and stakeholders to keep them informed throughout the development process, including attending community engagement events
  • Maintain database tracking project progress

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental, Business Administration, Finance, Energy, Economics, or other related field of study
  • Minimum two (2) years related experience, in renewable energy development or other fields of project development with the ability to navigate permitting processes and community involvement
  • Skilled in project management with the ability to multi-task and prioritize critical path tasks
  • Highly capable of working constructively and maintaining good relationships with public officials and agencies
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to present to a wide range of audiences

Additional Details

This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy. Must be available to travel up to 30% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips. Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.
