Role Purpose
The objective of this role is to engage in the daily operations of the investment banking sector. Acquire extensive exposure to various client types, transactions, and specialized areas of focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate on active transactions, assist in client presentations, and support the team in providing advice to a diverse range of corporate clients, delivering comprehensive, structured solutions to meet client objectives.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to advance business initiatives.
- Participate in training and development sessions to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
- Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and manage the launch of new investment banking products and services.
- Oversee client relationships and provide customer service support, responding to inquiries regarding products and services, and processing transactions with decreasing supervision.
- Develop and implement financial models and strategies that facilitate decision-making in investment banking, gaining insights into business operations and learning from industry experts.
- Mentor and train junior team members.
- Provide consultation on complex matters; offer guidance to leadership in resolving escalated issues.
- Identify risk mitigation strategies and develop new policies/procedures to support control and governance objectives.
- Assume responsibility for managing risk and enhancing controls related to assigned tasks.
- Engage in work closely related to other areas, requiring an understanding of how different functions coordinate to achieve organizational goals.
- Collaborate with various departments to stay informed about business activities and strategies.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of data from multiple internal and external sources, creatively solving problems.
- Effectively communicate complex information, which may include sensitive or challenging content.
- Influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

As a Banking Associate, you will collaborate with various Investment Banking teams, addressing our clients' most strategic inquiries. Following several weeks of intensive training, you will join one of our industry, product, or geographic groups and immediately begin working on live transactions and business development projects. Within small deal teams, you will quickly assume a vital role in a variety of challenging assignments, which may include:
• Financial analysis and modeling
• Valuation
• Industry research
• Business evaluation and strategic assessment
• Business and idea generation
• Communication with external and internal stakeholders.
