We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Radiology Imaging Associates. As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration process for our patients, while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities- Register patients for clinical services by obtaining pertinent information, verifying insurance benefits, and collecting payments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the best possible care for our patients.
- Collect accurate demographic, financial, and basic medical information from patients and/or their designees in a timely and professional manner.
- Verify and enter complete and accurate demographic information on all accounts to facilitate smooth processing through the revenue cycle.
- Explain insurance benefits and patient liability to patients and their families.
- Financially secure all patient accounts to maximize hospital reimbursement in a customer service-oriented fashion.
- Accurately document all information in the appropriate fields and/or account notes.
- Communicate clearly and openly with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work in a production-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, and CPT, ICD-10 coding.
- Ability to maintain positive customer service and confidentiality.
- Effective prioritization skills and ability to manage time independently.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Radiology Imaging Associates offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, AD&D, EAP, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, PTO, and holiday pay for eligible employees. Part-time employees may have access to some of these benefits, which may be on a pro-rated basis.
