Job Description

**Job Summary**

As an Inventory Control Specialist at OSI Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records. This position requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily or weekly counts of selected items to ensure no discrepancy between system data and physical stock.
  • Identify and report variances between the electronic inventory system and the actual count, collaborating with the inventory or finance departments as needed.
  • Update inventory systems with accurate count data, ensuring real-time data accuracy.
  • Assist the lead person and supervisor in meeting safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Determine root causes for discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.
  • Be familiar with departmental equipment and ensure work areas are kept clean and sanitary.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ensure employees are adhering to GMPs.

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail and an eye for accuracy to spot discrepancies.
  • Some high school or equivalent experience.
  • Computer experience, including familiarity with inventory software and tools.
  • 1 year of on-the-job experience preferred, with demonstrated understanding of process flow, quality, efficiency, safety, and organizational requirements in the department assigned.
