We are seeking a highly skilled AR Specialist I, Deductions to join our team at Refresco. As an AR Specialist, you will play a critical role in processing and analyzing accounts receivable transactions, minimizing risk, and ensuring timely collections.
Key Responsibilities- Accounts Receivable Analysis: Research and determine the root cause of deductions and past due invoices to reduce future occurrences by working closely with customers and internal business partners.
- Customer Communication: Contact customers and internal business partners to obtain information related to the collection of outstanding AR.
- Account Status Updates: Provide frequent analysis of customer account status and updates to management as needed.
- Order Management: Reviews orders that are on hold/release report and takes required action.
- Collection Activity: Prepare weekly worklist for collection activity and ad hoc reports as assigned.
- Cash Receipts Management: Monitors daily incoming cash receipts including checks, ACH and wire transfers for effective collection management.
- Process Improvement: Proactively identify trends and assist in implementing process improvements.
- Collaboration: Partner with sales management and customer service management to ensure the highest level of professionalism and customer service in resolution of outstanding issues.
- Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
- Experience: Previous accounting experience preferred.
- ERP Systems: Working knowledge of SAP and FSCM Dispute Management or other ERP systems.
- Microsoft Office: Basic Microsoft Excel and Word application skills.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills.
- Analytical Skills: Analytical skills (ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and find solutions).
- Organizational Skills: Organizational and time management skills.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills – oral and written.
- Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines.
- Adaptability: Able to adjust readily to change and adapt as needed.
- Work Environment: Onsite – with the flexibility to work from home one day per week.
- Physical Demands: Continuously sitting for prolonged periods, as the job is administrative in nature.
- Visual/Sensory: This position requires attention to detail, requiring attention with one or two senses at a time.
