Job Title: AR Collections Specialist

Fanatics is seeking a highly skilled AR Collections Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Accounting Shared Services function, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of business-to-business customers, including Professional Sports Teams, Leagues, and small to medium retail locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently manage portfolio of business-to-business customers to ensure payments are received within terms.
  • Build relationships with key Fanatics customers and internal departments, including Sales and Customer Service.
  • Conduct collection calls using telephone, e-mail, and/or customer website portals to secure payments and resolve any issues.
  • Provide invoice copies, reconcile accounts, and perform other general accounting duties to obtain payment.
  • Work with external customers to establish payment plans to resolve aged outstanding items.
  • Negotiate customer disputes to resolution and document root causes of payment issues.
  • Actively prioritize and monitor customer accounts, learning reasons for non-payment and working the necessary steps to bring outstanding issues to resolution.
  • Weekly reconciliation of accounts.
  • Responsible for monitoring payment behaviors on accounts to identify when customer is at risk of defaulting on balance due to minimize total risk.
  • Responsible for investigating and clearing customer chargebacks/deductions and offsets, which may include GL coding for accounting to properly apply to correct functional accounts.
  • Maintain clear documentation of all communication with customers and internal departments.
  • Deliver constructive feedback to analyze processes, emphasizing enhancements for internal operations.
  • Accountable for reducing delinquency in assigned portfolio.
