Job Description

Executive Director of Operations

Black Mountain Home for Children, Youth, and Families is seeking an experienced Executive Director of Operations to lead and mentor our management teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business management and leadership, with a strong strategic vision to drive operational excellence, sustainability, and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor management teams to achieve operational excellence and sustainability.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the President and other leaders to align strategies with the organization's mission and vision.
  • Manage a diverse range of operations, including facilities, maintenance, and volunteer programs.
  • Develop and implement financial management strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Identify and develop new revenue streams and financial models to support the sustainability and growth of the organization.
  • Build strong relationships with community leaders, donors, and partners to enhance the organization's impact and resources.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Master's degree in business administration, non-profit management, social enterprise, or a closely related field is strongly preferred.
  • Proven history of successful business management, with a minimum of 7-10 years of senior management experience, with a significant portion of that within non-profit, social enterprise, or similar fields.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing a diverse range of operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategic plans.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams, communicate complex ideas clearly, and engage effectively with a wide range of audiences.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Black Mountain Home for Children, Youth, and Families.

Salary: $85,000.00 depending on experience.
