Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with EHS Manager to develop and implement effective safety strategies and programs.
  • Conduct regular training sessions and audits to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
  • Investigate injuries from a root cause perspective and collaborate with EHS Manager and other Managers to offer recommendations to eliminate repetitive occurrences.
  • Responsible for preparing site-specific safety documents and managing any safety-related questions from customer job sites.
  • Track, monitor, and report all OSHA recordable injuries.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives regarding safety policies and programs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Five (5) or more years of manufacturing safety experience, preferably in a custom metal fabrication or machining environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Office 365/SharePoint) and able to navigate and extract data from the ERP.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with others to include multiple site groups, customers, vendors, and potential customers.
  • Understanding of OSHA rules and regulations.
  • OSHA 10 & 30 courses.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College/University in Environmental Health & Safety, or Industrial Management.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing and maintaining the ISO 14000 family of standards and OSHAS 18001.
  • Any of the following: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST).
