We are seeking a skilled Sales Account Manager to join our team at Harvest Sherwood Food Distributors. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet and exceed sales targets by building a strong sales pipeline and identifying trends and customer needs.
  • Establish and maintain positive business relationships with customers, leveraging market knowledge to deliver customized solutions and strengthen partnerships.
  • Develop new business opportunities through public data analysis, customer recommendations, and local market knowledge.
  • Understand the competition, their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges, and provide a commercial difference to our customers.
  • Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis, and partner with the team to negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals.
  • Coordinate with other functional groups to identify the right products to sell to the right customers at the right price.
  • Collect accounts receivable and work with the credit team to collect money outside of customer credit terms.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • A 4-year degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in meat protein sales or the food distribution industry is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to establish and respond to customer needs.
  • High degree of professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Exceptional time management, analytical, and organizational skills to work autonomously.
Technical Requirements:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Language Skills:
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus.
Physical Demands:
  • The position may require the ability to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted, sit, stand, stoop, walk, stretch, and reach frequently.
Travel:
  • Ability to travel by automobile and/or air may be required.
