{"Responsibilities and Qualifications": "Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the Fort Bend County team, you will be responsible for coordinating performance measures for the county as a whole and assisting offices and departments with enhancing and maintaining their own. You will train department coordinators in performance measurement and guide the county in performance-based budgeting, reporting findings to inform budget decisions.

  • Develop and implement performance measurement frameworks to drive data-driven decision making
  • Collaborate with department heads and officials to enhance and maintain performance measures
  • Train and onboard new elected officials, department heads, and coordinators on performance measurement and budgeting procedures
  • Perform duties as assigned by the Director and Commissioners Court, including projects such as cell phone management and fleet management
  • Review and improve standard operating procedures for the Budget Office and other departments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 5 years of job-related experience
  • Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Performance-based budgeting experience and knowledge of flow-charting policies and procedures
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to influence department heads and officials
  • Time management skills and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Advanced research skills and data analysis abilities
  • Ability to train and speak to large groups
