Housekeeper Job Summary

The Housekeeper is a vital member of our team at LifeWell Senior Living, responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain resident apartments, public areas, common areas, and work areas, adhering to property policies and procedures.
  • Perform laundry duties for residents and the community, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
  • Restock cart with cleaning supplies and ensure all chemicals are inaccessible to residents.
  • Dispose of waste and trash properly, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Use protective equipment and supplies when handling infectious materials and hazardous waste.
  • Follow established infection control and universal precautions practices when performing housekeeping procedures.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
  • Able to safely operate standard household equipment, such as dishwashers and vacuum cleaners.
  • Knowledge of assisted living and dementia care principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid first aid certification and Food Handlers certification required.
