Orthopedic Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Position Title: RN Med-Surg Ortho
Location: Tallahassee, Florida
Compensation: $39.60 per hour, based on experience
Incentive: $20,000 Sign-On Bonus
Work Schedule:
- Shift: 12-Hour Days and Nights (Rotating Weekends)
- Weekly Schedule: 3 Days
- Total Weekly Hours: 36
- Shift Start: 07:00 AM or 07:00 PM
- Shift End: 07:00 PM or 07:00 AM
Position Summary:
We are in search of a skilled and empathetic Medical Surgical Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) to become an integral part of our healthcare team. In this capacity, you will deliver holistic care to patients who are ill, injured, or recovering, adhering to a patient-centered care philosophy. You will independently conduct clinical evaluations and manage treatment protocols while collaborating with a dedicated team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Duties:
- Gather comprehensive information relevant to the patient's health or condition.
- Serve as an advocate for patients within the interdisciplinary team.
- Evaluate assessment data to identify diagnoses or concerns.
- Establish anticipated outcomes for individualized care plans tailored to the patient and their circumstances.
- Champion patient safety and well-being.
- Ensure efficient care delivery and prudent use of resources, including time, supplies, and equipment.
- Provide education to patients about their medications, procedures, and treatments, offering support to both patients and their families throughout their care journey.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of recent RN experience; acute care experience is highly preferred, though LTAC experience will be considered.
- Possession of an active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida, or the ability to secure licensure prior to employment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred; must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
