Job Overview

Position Title: RN Med-Surg Ortho

Location: Tallahassee, Florida

Compensation: $39.60 per hour, based on experience

Sign-On Incentive: $20,000

Work Schedule:

  • Shift Type: 12-Hour Days and Nights (Rotating Weekends)
  • Weekly Workdays: 3
  • Total Weekly Hours: 36
  • Shift Start: 07:00 AM or 07:00 PM
  • Shift End: 07:00 PM or 07:00 AM

Role Summary:

We are looking for a committed and empathetic Medical Surgical Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) to become part of our vibrant healthcare team. In this position, you will deliver thorough care to adults who are ill, injured, or recovering, all within a patient-focused care framework. You will independently conduct clinical evaluations and manage treatment strategies while collaborating with a dedicated team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Gather comprehensive information relevant to the patient's health or condition.
  • Serve as an advocate for patients within the interdisciplinary team.
  • Evaluate assessment data to establish diagnoses or issues.
  • Determine expected outcomes for a personalized care plan tailored to the patient and situation.
  • Actively promote patient safety.
  • Ensure efficient care and judicious use of time, resources, and equipment.
  • Provide education to patients regarding their medications, procedures, and treatments, offering support to patients and their families throughout their care journey.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of recent RN experience; acute care experience is highly preferred, though LTAC experience will be considered.
  • Possession of an active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida, or the ability to secure licensure prior to commencement.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred; must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
