Job Title: Director of Behavioral Health

Horizon Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Behavioral Health to lead our Behavioral Health Program at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a high-quality treatment program that meets the needs of our patients.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive community relations program to promote the hospital's mission and goals.
  • Provide strategic planning, program administration, and development to ensure the program's success.
  • Perform as a liaison between the program, hospital, and Horizon, communicating information and needs effectively.
  • Support the hospital's and Horizon's missions, goals, and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and direction in accordance with hospital guidelines.
  • Provide clinical supervision for program nursing, counseling, patient support, and administrative staff.
  • Develop, implement, and update all policies and procedures for the program in coordination with the assigned VP, Clinical Practice.
  • Ensure the program meets and maintains all federal, state, local, and accrediting bodies' regulations and standards.
  • Participate in assessing and reassessing the program's needs and develop processes to audit and coordinate ongoing education for staff.
  • Recruit, interview, and select qualified staff for the program.
  • Provide for professional growth and development of staff through identification of needs, development of individual training plans, and participation in training programs.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in a relevant field.
  • CPR certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an acute care mental health setting.
