  • Participate in program planning and development, contributing to the creation of effective public health initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, using proper terminology and cultural sensitivity.
  • Develop and implement strategies for interacting with diverse populations, including those from different cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, gender, age, ethnic, sexual orientation, professional, religious affiliation, mental, and physical backgrounds.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with public health regulations and standards.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and professional development, staying up-to-date on the latest public health research and best practices.
  • Provide backup coverage for front desk duties, ensuring seamless customer service and support.
  • Assist with working up patients, including vital signs, medical history, and medication review, to ensure comprehensive and effective care.
  • Manage medication and vaccine inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
Requirements
  • Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college.
  • Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • CPR certification.
  • Completion of all necessary orientation and training for Public Health LPN.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Public health experience.
  • Experience with screenings, immunizations, GRITS, and interviewing patients.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English speaking language.
