Job Summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare system by providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care by greeting and checking in patients, verifying and updating patient demographics, and assisting with consent forms.
  • Process cash and credit card payments for medical services rendered and initiate calls, pages, and triage phone calls.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and other customer service or clerical duties.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Professional manner and appearance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College-level training or education in a healthcare support field preferred.
  • Previous EMR use or training helpful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of medical terms and practices preferred.
Work Environment

This is a per diem position working various schedules, including evenings and nights, at Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls, NY.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $19.50 to $23.00 per hour.
