Job Summary:

The Dental Assistant plays a vital role in supporting oral surgeons and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This position requires a highly skilled and driven individual with a strong foundation in dental assisting, preferably with an emphasis on oral surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist chairside during a variety of dental surgical procedures, demonstrating proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Prepare, disinfect, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments to maintain optimal hygiene standards.
  • Ensure strict compliance with infection control, CDC, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations, guaranteeing a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Capture high-quality radiographic images and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Provide patients with comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care instructions to enhance their experience and recovery.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a High School Diploma and reliable transportation is essential.
  • Demonstrated motivation to learn with a genuine passion for healthcare and a commitment to direct patient care.
  • Previous experience in dental or oral surgery is preferred, showcasing a solid foundation in dental assisting.
  • Familiarity with Open Dental software is a plus, demonstrating adaptability to dental practice management tools.
  • Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in email and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support clinic operations.
  • Strong follow-through, effective communication, and reliability are paramount for success in this role.

Qualifications:

  • NH MedTech certification (for NH Assistants only).
  • CPR certification to ensure readiness in emergency situations.
  • Radiology certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, ensuring proficiency in capturing diagnostic images.
  • DAANCE certification is preferred, or the ability to achieve it within 1 year of hire, indicating a commitment to professional development in dental anesthesia and sedation.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour.
