About ProMedica Health System: ProMedica Toledo Hospital is a leading acute-care facility in the region, featuring 794 beds and a dedicated team of over 4,800 healthcare professionals serving a vast 27-county area across northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. Our hospital boasts the largest board-certified medical staff in the area, comprising more than 1,000 primary care and specialty physicians.

Role Overview: Under the supervision of a radiologist, the Radiologic Imaging Specialist performs intricate professional procedures essential for diagnosing and treating patients. This role involves obtaining high-quality images that are interpreted by radiologists to evaluate diseases or abnormalities. The specialist also assists radiologists and other medical staff in conducting diagnostic radiologic procedures as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of formal radiologic technology training at an AMA-approved institution.
  • Current registration with the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) and an active state license, or eligibility for both.
  • Continuation of employment for registry-eligible hires is contingent upon passing the registry examination and obtaining applicable state licensure.
Skills Required:
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and adapt to new methods, techniques, and equipment.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Capability to manage stressful situations and meet deadlines in a fast-paced medical environment.
  • Physical ability to navigate the facility, including stooping, standing, walking, and lifting as required.
  • Effective communication skills to understand directions and respond to inquiries.
  • Proficiency in using facility communication systems and equipment (e.g., phones, fax machines, IBEX).
  • Ability to input and retrieve information from computer systems.
  • Tolerance for potential exposure to hazardous materials, radiation, and bloodborne pathogens, including the ability to wear heavy protective garments for extended periods.
