Mercy Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Radiology Care Professional, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and applying the art and skill of diagnostic imaging through the safe and effective use of radiologic technology.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients, verify patient ID, and related information to ensure appropriate procedures are performed.
- Explain procedures to patients, prepare patients for procedures, and ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during procedures.
- Monitor patient conditions and medical equipment, and report changes to patient care services.
- Properly position patients to perform routine diagnostic radiographs, calculate and select proper technical factors, and assess the quality of radiographs.
- Competently perform specialty procedures, such as surgery, C-arm, tomograms, venograms, arthrograms, myelograms, ERCP, sialograms, video speech evaluation, hysterosalpingogram, and other specialty procedures.
- Assist physicians in the performance of fluoroscopic and minor specialty exams, provide and administer proper contrast media, position patients, and operate fluoroscopic equipment.
- Perform IV injections, identify images with lead markers and patient names, and provide proper radiation protection for patients, self, and others.
- Vocational/Technical Degree in Radiology Technology or Advanced Imaging.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Current license in the state of Ohio.
- Current BLS certification.
- Advanced Registry in Quality Management by the ARRT (preferred).
