Job Overview

Sutter Health is looking for a dedicated Respiratory Care Practitioner Level II to provide exceptional care in the field of respiratory therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency respiratory care procedures.
  • Conduct assessments, treatments, and evaluations for patients experiencing respiratory challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal care delivery.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations and policies to maintain patient privacy and safety.
  • May mentor or orient new staff within the department.
Qualifications

Education: Graduate of a two-year respiratory care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).

Certifications:

  • RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (if required)
  • RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist (within 90 days)
  • CRT - Certified Respiratory Therapist (within 90 days)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in respiratory care.

Skills and Knowledge
  • In-depth understanding of respiratory therapy principles and practices.
  • Ability to interpret various forms of data and instructions.
  • Proficient in performing routine and emergency respiratory care.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying sensitive information to diverse audiences.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with computer applications, including electronic health records.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety.
