Position Title: Nursing Aide

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Clinical Nurse Manager or designee

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the guidance of a Nursing Supervisor and/or Staff RN, the Nursing Aide is responsible for performing various tasks related to the treatment and care of patients, adhering to the established policies and procedures of the facility.

Starting Wage: $17.48 (not certified - NA); $18.90 (currently certified - CNA)

The stated wage aligns with the respective collective bargaining agreement and reflects the current starting or new graduate wage for this role. Actual compensation is contingent upon the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications, which may justify a higher wage in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future based on various factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other relevant factors consistent with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Licensure:
  • Current healthcare BLS certification
  • Completion of competencies and other job-related and REHAB requirements.
Education:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Nurse Assistant training program.
Skills/Experience:
  • If a current nursing student, completion of at least one (1) semester of clinical fundamentals in a RN or LPN degree program.
  • Must possess effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with standard hospital procedures.
  • Ability to safely and effectively assist with patients' mobility.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Licensure:
  • CNA Certification
Skills/Experience:
  • At least six (6) months of paid nursing experience in acute care, long-term care, or home health care setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
