About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Assistant Manager to join our team at Wyndham Destinations. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for conducting new hire onboarding training, ensuring compliance with sales policies, and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new hire training programs to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to coach and support new hires, ensuring they meet performance expectations within 60 days.
  • Conduct weekly training sessions for underperforming agents to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Provide warm and welcoming service to guests, offering them information about the resort, activities, and services.
  • Support the rollout of new technologies and sales initiatives, becoming a subject matter expert and training site leaders and representatives accordingly.
  • Book owners and guests staying on property, offering them an opportunity for an owner update with a member service employee.
  • Meet or exceed budget penetration rates for assigned guests and ensure the overall penetration of the site is above budget.
  • Work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Navigate various systems using an Apple iPad and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Maintain department standards of production and work as a team player.
  • Prepare additional reports as needed by management and ensure pertinent information is properly disseminated.
  • Coordinate with sales regarding new or changed marketing programs, including booking and gifting policies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly motivated with a positive attitude and good work ethic.
  • Detail-oriented with multi-tasking abilities in a busy environment.
  • Ability to effectively coach, counsel, and motivate direct reports.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including communicating positively and effectively with upset owners.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Working knowledge of marketing databases.
  • Ability to lead by example.
  • Must have Timeshare/Vacation Ownership experience.
