Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Equipment Operator to join our warehouse team at iHerb. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment in a warehouse environment, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of merchandise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate a range of equipment, including forklifts, pallet riders, and other motorized vehicles, to move merchandise throughout the warehouse.
  • Inventory Management: Load and unload trailers, scan merchandise, build pallets, and label merchandise to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Replenishment and Stocking: Replenish and stock merchandise as needed, ensuring that shelves are fully stocked and merchandise is easily accessible.
  • Data Entry: Perform manual, computer, or RF functions to enter data into systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Count and Reconciliation: Perform counts of product and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Product Placement: Check for accuracy and placement of product in designated zones, ensuring that merchandise is properly stored and easily accessible.
  • Direct Product to Correct Area: Direct product to the correct area in the warehouse, ensuring that merchandise is properly stored and easily accessible.
  • Clear Work Area: Clear work areas of loose wood and plastic, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
  • Report Faulty Equipment: Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisors, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements:
  • Ability to Lift Heavy Boxes: Ability to lift heavy boxes and merchandise, ensuring that inventory is properly stored and easily accessible.
  • Follow Instructions: Ability to follow instructions and take directions, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to perform tasks consistently and accurately, ensuring that inventory levels are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Effective Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, ensuring that information is accurately conveyed and understood.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others, ensuring a positive and productive working environment.
Experience and Education:

Generally requires a minimum of one (1) year experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. High School Diploma or combination of education and equivalent work experience required.

Equipment Knowledge:
  • Forklift Operation: Ability to operate a forklift and become forklift certified, ensuring safe and efficient movement of merchandise.
  • Hand and Power Equipment: Ability to safely operate hand and power equipment according to procedure, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Judgment and Reasoning Ability:

Able to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise, and diplomacy. Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. The Team Member is frequently required to stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers, bend, stoop, and reach with hands and arms. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lifting as required to store materials throughout the work day. The Team Member may occasionally lift or move materials and products up to 60 pounds. Proper lifting techniques required.
