About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Shasta Regional Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse in our Telemetry department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe and effective patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
  • Communicate with physicians about changes in patient clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS (AHA) certificate and/or ENPC 90 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current annually.
