Medicaid Entitlement Specialist

As a Medicaid Entitlement Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring our clients receive the necessary support and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contact clients who have lost their Medicaid coverage to discuss possible resolutions and next steps.
  • Work with clients to gather, verify, and prepare the information for the Medicaid application form.
  • Submit Medicaid applications to the appropriate jurisdiction and follow up until approved.
  • Communicate with Medicaid offices by telephone, in writing, or face-to-face.
  • Follow up on additional information requested.
  • Respond to denials, including appearing at fair hearings.
  • Monitor eligibility reports for coverage issues.
  • Prepare and complete re-certification applications as required.
Requirements:
  • MUST be Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with Medicaid applications and recertification processes.
  • Desired, but not required, experience with the NY State of Health Marketplace as an Assistor.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and is friendly, upbeat, and has a great can-do personality.
