As a Medicaid Entitlement Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring our clients receive the necessary support and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Contact clients who have lost their Medicaid coverage to discuss possible resolutions and next steps.
- Work with clients to gather, verify, and prepare the information for the Medicaid application form.
- Submit Medicaid applications to the appropriate jurisdiction and follow up until approved.
- Communicate with Medicaid offices by telephone, in writing, or face-to-face.
- Follow up on additional information requested.
- Respond to denials, including appearing at fair hearings.
- Monitor eligibility reports for coverage issues.
- Prepare and complete re-certification applications as required.
- MUST be Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience working with Medicaid applications and recertification processes.
- Desired, but not required, experience with the NY State of Health Marketplace as an Assistor.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Maintains a positive attitude and is friendly, upbeat, and has a great can-do personality.
