RN - CMC Cardiovascular and Thoracic Care Unit - Full Time - 12 Hour - Nights

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, assessing, and evaluating patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and relevant patient care models to create a compassionate healing environment, ensuring interdisciplinary collaboration and fostering professional growth and satisfaction.
- Coordinate and provide care through the therapeutic use of self, nursing process, and the environment and technology, in partnership and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing Required
- 6 Months- Nursing- Acute Care
- Minimum 1000 hours of experience in a Registered Nurse role in an acute care facility with medical and cardiac patients within the last 24 months – Non-Core Requirement
Certifications/Licensures:
- RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing Required
- BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Required
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association Core Requirement
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association Required prior to completion of orientation to the assigned area
- Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test - Must Pass at time of hire (Required if hired after 11/15/2018) Required
- NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale - No Issuing Agency Certification
Skills:
Non-Core:
- Demonstrates a basic understanding of the application or use of cardiac pharmacology, vasoactive therapy, temporary and permanent pacemakers and emergency interventions within 12 months.
- Maintains on-going competency requirements for stroke care.
- Must meet core qualifications within 24 months.
