Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Vision: Formulate and implement a comprehensive strategy for the organization’s business systems, ensuring alignment of technology initiatives with business objectives and long-term aspirations.
  • System Deployment and Integration: Spearhead the assessment, selection, and deployment of business systems, guaranteeing seamless integration with existing infrastructure and applications.
  • Process Enhancement: Discover opportunities to refine business processes and workflows through effective technology utilization, automation, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Partner closely with stakeholders across various departments, including finance, operations, sales, marketing, and IT, to comprehend their needs and priorities, ensuring that business systems adequately support their requirements.
  • Vendor Relations: Oversee relationships with technology vendors and service providers, including contract negotiations, performance assessments, and compliance with service level agreements.
  • Organizational Change: Propel organizational transformation by advocating for the adoption of new technologies and processes, offering training and support to users, and nurturing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Performance Evaluation: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and other relevant metrics to assess the effectiveness of business systems and monitor progress towards strategic objectives, providing regular insights to senior leadership.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities associated with business systems, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure the implementation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing team of business systems professionals, offering guidance, coaching, and opportunities for professional development to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, computer science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Over 10 years of demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role overseeing business systems, enterprise applications, or IT operations.
  • Strong grasp of business processes, operations management, and project management methodologies.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans, drive change, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise software systems, including CRM platforms and other business applications.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies and trends in business systems, such as cloud computing, data analytics, AI, and automation.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and complex technology projects.
  • Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or Six Sigma are advantageous.
