Job Summary

This per diem opportunity involves working as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in a critical illness recovery hospital setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and participating in quality assurance activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' communication skills and swallowing functions to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patients' needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to maintain professional development.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes accurately and thoroughly.

Qualifications and Requirements

A valid state license and CCC certification are mandatory for this position. Additionally, candidates should possess at least two years of experience in a related field and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
