About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Treasury Associate to join our team at Aera Energy. As a key member of our Treasury department, you will be responsible for managing debt and investment portfolios, negotiating banking services, and implementing treasury management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage debt and investment portfolios, using treasury management systems to record deals, schedule payments, and track activity.
  • Negotiate banking services and pricing with operating banks, ensuring optimal costs and services.
  • Implement and maintain banking services, including balance reporting, funds transfer, and electronic data transmission.
  • Research and resolve operating errors or transaction failures within banks and responsible groups.
  • Assist in the documentation of SOX processing controls and ensure controls are in place and meeting objectives.
  • Provide project management for financial service initiatives, collaborating with various levels within banks and other Company accounting, finance, or information technology groups.
  • Handle daily operating responsibilities, including cash positioning, cash flow forecasting, wire transfer approval, and backup roles.
  • Contribute to information for daily and monthly cash flow forecasting updates and operate in a backup capacity.
  • Work with other groups within and outside the company, providing concise descriptions of steps needed to meet goals.
  • Review and approve electronic funds transfers generated on various banking systems and through the treasury management system.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of corporate treasury experience with hands-on exposure to sophisticated Treasury Management Systems.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Receipts and disbursement cash flow forecasting experience in a major corporation, consolidating data from multiple entities is desirable.
  • Experience negotiating banking services and pricing with operating banks is desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field; MBA Degree preferred.
  • Certified Treasury Professional credential is desirable as is regular attendance at industry education conferences.
  • Project management experience in implementing sophisticated treasury services impacting multiple groups within the organization.
  • Detailed knowledge of treasury operations and how they fit into the overall functioning of the organization.
  • Comprehensive understanding of bank cash management products, banking systems, particularly electronic transmission of data and interconnectivity to company systems.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with MS Office suite as well as presentation applications and capabilities of database applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively and independently with bankers and individuals at all levels in the organization (including senior management).
  • Must have proven record of demonstrating leadership and motivation skills with potential beyond the current position.
