Payroll Accounting Administrator

Systemtec is seeking a skilled Payroll Accounting Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and payroll processing, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit and review payroll and tax data to identify variances and ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
  • Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts and prepare adjusting journal entries as needed.
  • Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.
  • Partner with HR, Accounting, and Operations teams to ensure accurate payroll entries.
  • Conduct HR audits and perform pay fraud control to ensure the integrity of payroll data.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in accounting and/or financial reporting.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Certified Payroll Administrator (CPA) preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment:

Hybrid work arrangement, with 3 days per week on-site in Columbia, SC.
