Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance and Repair Professional to join our team at Greenyard USA CO. as a Cold Storage Maintenance Technician. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Inspect building, equipment, and systems to identify any issues or potential problems.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to work in a cold environment.
  • Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to handle physical workload.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented.
Working Conditions

The normal working environment requires routine and frequent meeting of critical deadlines. The associate will be required to perform repetitive movements (i.e., bending, stooping, pushing). The associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to move about within a fast-paced environment in/outside the facility.
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs/ladder for repairs.
  • Ability to frequently move, push, or carry items up to 40 lbs.
  • Exposed to a cold environment of 32 to 42 degrees. Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Must be able to detect, identify, inspect, observe, and assess surroundings.
