Position Overview:
KEMET Electronics Corporation is seeking a Field Application Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will engage with customers and collaborate with sales and product teams to address design challenges. As a Field Application Engineer, you will travel within your designated territory to connect with a variety of clients who are at the forefront of technological innovation. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude, a keen interest in emerging technologies, and a passion for teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop expertise in applications ranging from digital processing to high-power systems across target sectors including Computing, Industrial, Defense, Medical, and Consumer markets.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of KEMET's product offerings and their applications to support customer product development initiatives.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers, product managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Gather and relay customer insights to business unit development teams for integration into product strategy.
- Deliver technical training sessions on new products and technologies to customers and sales teams.
- Provide valuable feedback to marketing and engineering teams regarding market trends and competitive analysis.
- Contribute to the development of sales tools and resources to enhance customer engagement.
- Participate in industry events and forums to represent KEMET and foster relationships within the electronics community.
Deliverables:
- Enhance the design funnel to drive future revenue growth.
- Support the sales team in increasing product knowledge and application understanding.
- Collaborate closely with management and sales representatives on design expansion initiatives.
- Serve as a primary resource for customer engineers and distribution partners.
- Conduct regular reviews with management to discuss design activities and market trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of engineering experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a strong analytical mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant simulation tools.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
