Job Overview

Federal Staffing Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to support our client in Washington, DC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and configure Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy management.
  • Manage and optimize VMware virtualization technologies.
  • Implement and maintain system security protocols in accordance with DoD standards.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Perform system patching and updates to ensure compliance and security.
  • Administer and support SharePoint and Jira for project management and collaboration.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and security policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system functionality and security.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator in a DoD or similarly regulated environment.
  • Strong experience with VMware and virtualization technologies.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and system security best practices.
  • Experience managing Active Directory, Group Policies, and user permissions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CompTIA Security+ Certifications.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
