Job Summary:



We are seeking a highly skilled Windows Systems Administrator to join our team at RCG. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers and virtual environments.



The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, virtualization technologies, and a strong focus on ensuring system availability and security. You will work closely with our IT teams to plan and implement system upgrades and patches, and provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and virtual environments

  • Manage and support virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Hyper-V

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability

  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data

  • Perform regular system backups and recovery operations

  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and processes

  • Collaborate with IT teams to plan and implement system upgrades and patches

  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff

  • Conduct system audits and ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards



Requirements:





  • MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or related field

  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019)

  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell)

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment



Preferred Certifications/Education:





  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or equivalent certification

  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent certification

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
