Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, sale, and distribution of food and beverage items at all MAC sites with a focus on Starbucks.
• Stock, sort, and put away food, supplies, dishes, and other items used by the department.
• Perform accurate cash handling functions as assigned.
• Ensure accurate charging for all items, for every guest, for every transaction.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, work, and storage areas thoroughly and accurately.
• Dispose of trash, refuse, and recycling.
• Maintain standards for quality, safety, sanitation, and communication.
• Adhere to all safety practices and procedures.
• Engage in positive and proactive communication with co-workers, guests, patients, and other caregivers.
• Contribute to and support the goals and objectives of the MACR and the Health System.
• Maintain hospital standards through speech and action, leading by example to support and demonstrate ICARE values.
• Demonstrate and encourage exceptional customer service.
• Adhere to the established dress code and standards for personal appearance and hygiene.

Requirements

• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Previous Starbucks experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED or Certificate of Achievement as an Adult Education High School Equivalency.
• Demonstrated high standard of service skills, self-motivation, problem-solving, and time management.
• Demonstrated commitment to job through past performance, attendance, contribution of ideas, cooperation with co-workers, supervisors, and customers.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new and multiple tasks and to operate with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge and flexibility in varied aspects of food service, including safety and quality.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Willingness to take ownership of projects and assignments.
• Ability to maintain composure when busy and during times of increased stress.
• Attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to listen, take direction, and respond productively to constructive criticism.
• Customer service training preferred.
