Full-Time Barista

Strange Matter is looking a full-time barista (34-40hrs a week) to help at our Eastside location.

All baristas work register, engage with customers, dish, clean bathrooms, sweep and mop, and eventually learn how to make coffee from the most skilled barista team in town.

Shift: shifts generally run, openers 6a or 7a - 1p or 2p, mid-shift 8a-4p, closing shift 10a or 11a to 5p or 6p

Open weekend availability is a must.

Compensation: $15/hr plus tips
Estimated Hourly Tip Rate: $4-6/hr in addition to hourly pay rate. (This is an average estimate. Average tip rates are not guaranteed, but supplied to help you understand your average take-home pay)
Benefits & Perks: We offer PTO, Sick Pay, and Health Reimbursement averaging 36/hrs a week.

What We’re Looking for:

• 1-2 years barista experience, or fast casual food service experience is preferred
• Ability to work early morning shifts
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Experience working in a fast paced environment
• Enthusiasm, energy and positive attitude with a desire to learn and develop
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Minimum age – 18 years

the fine print: Experience is preferred in the service industry, in a front of house setting. (chain experience is totally okay)
