Racing America Inc. is looking for a skilled individual to fill the role of Accounting Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the month-end closing process and ensure compliance with accounts payable protocols.
  • Oversee expense accruals, prepaid expense recognition, and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely completion of financial reports by the accounts payable team.
  • Manage the execution of the year-end accrual process.
  • Provide variance analysis for assigned balance sheet accounts.
  • Develop and oversee compliance processes for various tax forms and regulations.
  • Investigate returned payments and implement resolutions.
  • Facilitate ongoing training for staff on spending categories.
  • Innovate and enhance processes and technology related to accounts payable.
  • Collaborate with procurement and other departments to uphold purchasing policies.
  • Prepare information requests for external auditors and other stakeholders.
  • Engage in additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience, demonstrating strong accounting acumen, leadership capabilities, technological proficiency, and a commitment to process improvement.

Key skills include:

  • Proficiency in generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and financial reports.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in delivering training sessions and presentations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Capability to identify and manage process enhancements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

This role may require additional hours as necessary to fulfill the objectives of the position and the department.
