Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Office Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of practical experience as a medical secretary or in a related medical administrative role.
  • Previous teaching or training experience is preferred.
  • Certified Microsoft Office Specialist or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Strong knowledge of medical office procedures, medical terminology, billing processes, and office software (e.g., Electronic Health Records systems).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
