Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Valet Lead to join our team at Balboa Bay Resort & Club. As a Valet Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our valet parking services, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our performance standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relations: Maintain an excellent level of client relations by responding to and handling client requests, issues, or investigations in a timely manner to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Training and Coaching: Oversee the training and coaching of Valet Attendants to ensure that performance standards are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Scheduling: Prepare schedules for Valets, maximizing coverage and optimizing efficiency at all times.
  • Supervision: Supervise the activities directly related to providing valet parking-related services while ensuring the safety and security of all vehicles.
  • Leadership: Set an example for Valets by being present and working during peak business periods and events.
  • Flexibility: Maintain flexibility and be available as needed in an on-call and troubleshooting capacity.
  • Communication: Communicate pertinent company policies and operational procedures necessary to maximize employee performance.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance to company safety programs and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Supervisory or management experience in a valet operation is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the hotel and/or hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Driving Skills: Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • License: Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Customer Service: Position requires a high level of customer service.
  • Language: Must be able to speak English fluently.
  • Vehicle Knowledge: Vehicle knowledge and insurance claims experience.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Physical Demands
  • Physical Activity: Running, climbing stairs, twisting, and bending.
  • Weather Conditions: Working in inclement weather and extreme heat or cold.
  • Lifting: Lifting up to approximately 40 lbs.
