About the Role

The Surgical Simulation Operations Specialist I (SOS I) plays a critical role in the preparation, execution, and debriefing of surgical simulations at AdventHealth Tampa. This position requires a unique blend of technical skills, clinical knowledge, and a passion for education and improvement in the field of surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operates all human patient simulator systems, simulation task trainers, associated surgical equipment, and computer/audiovisual equipment during training exercises.
  • Facilitates operational and technical aspects of post-exercise debriefings using various audiovisual platforms.
  • Assists with planning, coordinating, and executing all simulation exercises, courses, conferences, and workshops.
  • Supports the management and maintenance of all equipment, including simulators and computer/audiovisual, to ensure proper working order, appropriate maintenance, warranty support, and software updates.
Requirements
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification.
  • AS in Surgical Technology.
  • Experience in a clinical or surgical setting, with a strong understanding of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification.
  • Florida Class E Driver's License and driving record in accordance with AdventHealth Policy.
