Senior Modeling and Simulation Expert

We're seeking a highly skilled Modeling and Simulation SME to support our program.

This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and a strong background in designing, implementing, and integrating modeling and simulation tool sets.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in areas such as distributed simulation, object-oriented simulation, model validation and verification, and simulation and model development.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Employing M&S tools across the entire space of DOTmLPF-P to support industry-standard and trade space studies evaluating warfighter capabilities, differing solution designs, program recommendations, and overall capability performance.
  • Developing alternative solutions and evaluations to inform decision makers and senior leaders on where to make force changes and apply limited resources to fill known capability gaps.
  • Providing support to a wide variety of experiment campaigns in support of this effort.
  • Evaluating DOTmLPF-P to develop alternative solutions that may inform senior leaders on force changes, resourcing, and capability gaps.
  • Performing design, development, evaluation, and analysis in such areas as distributed simulation, object-oriented simulation, model validation and verification, and simulation and model development.
  • Implementing and integrating appropriate M&S tool sets to support trade space studies evaluating warfighter capabilities, differing solution designs, program recommendations, and overall capability performance.
  • Participating in experimentation-related forums, working groups, and external assemblies (i.e. Conferences, technology shows, etc.).
  • Examining information to figure out what is relevant to a problem and what methods might be used to analyze it, and providing recommendations to address the problem.
  • Traveling up to 25% of the time on a monthly basis.
  • Preparing reports, information papers, and presentations as required utilizing Microsoft Office family of products (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access).
  • Developing and maintaining an electronic resource, to include key points of contact, to be used for mission continuity that may be accessed by all stakeholders.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or modeling and simulation, as well as 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and integrating modeling and simulation tool sets.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience utilizing C++ or similar programming language and software engineering employing tools and libraries for various operating systems, 3 years of experience developing and presenting verbal and written products at military O5/civilian equivalent level, and 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office products.
