Job Summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Simulator/Aircraft Mechanic I to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining flight simulator individual assemblies, including control linkages, throttle alignment, consoles, cabinets, and fuselage components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain flight simulator individual assemblies, including control linkages, throttle alignment, consoles, cabinets, and fuselage components.
  • Assist in the preparation of assigned bays for trainer arrivals by laying out and drilling a motion pad, installing adapter plates, and assembling computer flooring.
  • Assist with the offload of trainers, assemblies, and associated equipment, including hardware and software integration and tear-down, packing, shipping, and site installation.
  • Support trainer modification and upgrades in-house and at customer sites.
  • Support relocation of commercial or military training devices domestically or overseas.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree.
  • Airframes portion of the FAA A&P license preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in aircraft structural repair or flight simulator assembly.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations with other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to figure percentages, area, circumference, and volume and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must have a good knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical hand tools and be able to effectively use them.
  • Must have a sound understanding of military and commercial workmanship standards.
  • Must be willing and able to assume work assignments away from the facility for extended periods, for site installations, and be willing to work rotating shifts.
  • Must be able to work from parts lists, assembly drawings, schematics, and engineering orders, engineering change orders, engineering logs, client workmanship standards, and client manufacturing procedures/work instructions.
  • Must have basic computer skills for time reporting and work order processing.
  • Must be able to perform work assignments with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills
  • Additional skills or experience that would be considered favorable for a candidate who is applying for this position.
  • Operate a Forklift
  • Operate a Scissor lift
  • Airframes portion of the FAA A&P license preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pay Range and Benefits

Innova Solutions offers a competitive pay range of $22.00-$26.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
