Compensation Details:
Salary will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.
Estimated hourly base pay:
$29.38 (minimum) - $36.73 (midpoint) - $44.09 (maximum)

Role Overview:
If you are an Operations Specialist with a focus on machining, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

The Operations Specialist L2 plays a crucial role in supporting production from a technical perspective and possesses a solid understanding of the products being manufactured.

This position serves as the first line of defense for production-related challenges, solving complex manufacturing issues and collaborating with team members to implement process and product enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve manufacturing floor issues and conduct Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for new product introductions and existing manufacturing operations.
  • Identify errors in various manufacturing documents and provide revisions to engineering.
  • Draft and release new work instructions and manufacturing documentation; revise existing documentation as necessary.
  • Evaluate new tooling for application to current designs.
  • Propose and implement changes to methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout, or other adjustments to enhance production and improve standards.
  • Manage standard nonconformance dispositions (i.e., QNs/NCRs/ATRs).

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an Operations Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing tools and principles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills (e.g., Excel, Word, SAP, ERPs, PLM).
  • Able to manufacture complex parts or assemblies from preliminary drawings and operate advanced test or manufacturing equipment.
  • Capable of interpreting complex schematics or drawings and identifying errors; basic GD&T knowledge.

Machining Specific:
In-depth knowledge of applicable machining processes, including CNC programming.
Strong ability to interpret specifications and participate in hardware disposition.
Comprehensive understanding of cutting tools and machine capabilities.
