Your Role

As a Heat Transfer Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable and efficient functioning of various thermal systems. This includes both operational and non-operational equipment such as furnaces, boilers, thermal oxidizers, and heat exchangers.

Your responsibilities will encompass conducting infrared thermography inspections, documenting significant findings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold safety and operational standards.

  • Deliver technical guidance on the design, selection, construction, and commissioning of heat transfer systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards while supporting plant projects that impact thermal equipment.
  • Advise on maintenance and operational challenges, providing solutions through troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Facilitate operational support during equipment start-up and troubleshooting, while also mentoring team members on heat transfer principles.
  • Manage inventory for spare parts and coordinate necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Conduct assessments and develop guidelines for refractory materials and installations.
  • Engage with thermography specialists to fulfill site inspection requirements and maintain thermography equipment.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to heat transfer systems.

Qualifications

  • Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in heat transfer systems, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as Boiler MACT.
  • Proficient in API and ASME codes relevant to heat transfer equipment.
