Position Overview

School Guidance Counselor

Soliant is in search of a committed and enthusiastic School Guidance Counselor to become a vital part of our educational team. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 1+ years of counseling experience.

Position Details:
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract
Student Caseload: Two schools; K-12
Compensation: Starting at $32+/hour, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions aimed at addressing students' academic, social, and emotional challenges.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to pinpoint students' strengths, challenges, and mental health needs.
  • Design and execute comprehensive counseling programs that foster student growth and improve academic performance.
  • Work collaboratively with educators and parents to develop and implement strategies that support student success.
  • Advocate for students' needs and coordinate referrals to external resources when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in School Counseling or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • State certification or licensure as a School Counselor.
  • Demonstrated experience in counseling, ideally within an educational environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
