Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Nutrition Manager to join our team at Henderson County Education Foundation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the food service program in one or more schools, ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals to students while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the food service program in one or more schools, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of students, while also considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Oversee the procurement and inventory of food and supplies, ensuring that all items are stored and handled properly.
  • Manage the use of equipment and facilities, ensuring that all areas are clean and safe for students and staff.
  • Supervise and train staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the food service program, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as nutrition, food science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a food service management role, preferably in a school setting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a school setting, with frequent exposure to food preparation and handling. The position will also require occasional travel to meetings and training sessions.
