Job Summary:

The Utility Worker plays a crucial role in the outdoor production area of the AmeriGas Cylinder Exchange facility. This position involves the processing of propane cylinders, specifically 20 lb. barbeque grill cylinders.

Compensation: $16.50 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sort, inspect, clean, paint, label, and refill empty cylinders
  • Prioritize safety at all times and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ensure the consistent quality of processed cylinders
  • Load filled cylinders onto trucks for upcoming shipments
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8 to 12 hours daily
  • Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks

  • Ability to follow established processes, procedures, and instructions
  • Effectively work as part of a production team
  • Willingness to learn and grow
  • Basic mechanical understanding
  • Basic computer skills
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced work environment
  • Capability to stand for 8-10 hours daily
  • Ability to obtain necessary state licensing
  • Willingness to become forklift certified

Education and Experience Required:

  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in manufacturing
  • High School Diploma or GED

Working Conditions:

Employees may be exposed to environmental conditions such as wind, rain, ice, and snow, as the production area is not enclosed.
