Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Scientist to join our team at Emory Healthcare.

As a Nurse Scientist, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing and other health provider research and evidence-based practice activities to promote the delivery of patient-centered care and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing and other health provider research and evidence-based practice activities
* Promotes, supports, and facilitates individuals/groups engaging in research and evidence-based practice activities to advance professional practice
* Conducts original research
* Partners with NHWSN in evidence-based practice and research
* Contributes to the development of the facility research priorities
* Serves on departmental and other external committees as needed

Requirements:

* PhD in nursing preferred; actively pursuing a nursing PhD a minimal requirement
* Five years of experience in nursing practice
* Experience in study design and the research process
* Experience facilitating nursing research and evidence-based practice
* Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board
